Studio Time!!!
I’ve been learning, learning and learning…spending as much time possible in the studio. I’m currently working on a remix of Kaskades new track Dynasty for the Beatport competition and simultaneously soaking up as much knowledge as I can. It’s been a lot of fun to learn a new skill…at the same time, SO frustrating. Big thanks to Jon Dadon at Starry Eyed Music for getting me started using Ableton Live…now I need to find my partner in crime to make shit happen! I’ll be publishing new tracks as they come out.
Thursdays at Ivy are back
Thursdays at Ivy are back hosted by Dtown Productions and TK Productions. I’m super stoked to be a part of this night and will be DJ’ing there twice a month on Thursdays. What’s up everyone…i’ve been working hard since miami. i’m just about done with my portion of a 3 part CD i’m doing with my homie DJ Spryte from LA and That DJ Sanjay from Orange County. These guys are just a few of the guest DJ’s that will be playing at the Ivy Hotel when Dtown Productions and TK Productions start up Thursdays again. I’ve heard Sprytes part….it’s SICK, Sanjays will be dope as well. I hope I can round out the trio. Downloads will be available soon.

Mammoth!
I just got back from Mammoth….what an epic weekend. Tons of snow, good weather and awesome conditions all weekend. Aside from having a crew of 20+ people up for the weekend, I got to rock the decks at the brand new Hyde Lounge in Mammoth. LA based SBE just opened the first true “club” in the village at Mammoth and did a pretty kick ass job. The place was dope, the crowd was good and contrary to what public opinion may have been, it fits. Big thanks to Tommy at Hyde, Jimbo in LA and everyone who came out. I’ve been working in the studio feverishly to get this new mix done before I head up to Mammoth Mountain this weekend. I’ll be DJ’ing at the brand new Hyde Lounge on Friday night and supporting my good friend and all around good guy Mikey Beats from Sleeping Giant Music on Saturday. We’re taking a crew of about 20 up there to get ridiculous for the weekend…should be amazing.
PROduction
My foray into the music production world started last weekend in SF. I went up there to Expression College to take a weekend class in Pro Tools. I’m hooked! It was an awesome experience and a great place to start. I’m going back this weekend to take another weekend intensive in Ableton Live. I’ve already started messing around with Ableton thanks to Jon Dadon from Starry Eyed Music . This program is AMAZING. I already finished my first track featuring Rico Delargo on trumpet. It’s super hot and you can download it for free right here at Px Music.
